Product Description of Stainless Seamless Steel Pipe
Stainless seamless steel pipe is a hollow tubular product manufactured from stainless steel alloy without any welded seam or joint. It is produced by extruding, drawing, or piercing a solid steel billet through a mandrel to create a seamless hollow tube. Stainless steel pipe is manufactured in either welded or seamless form. Stainless seamless steel pipe is a solid ingot, piercing a hole through its length, and then drawing through dies to form the final size. In piping dimensions, the inside diameter decreases as the wall thickness increases on all Nominal pipe sizes (NPS). The wall thicknesses are specified as ‘schedules’, which are covered within the specifications of ASTM and ASME. Pipe is offered in 20’lengths, but can be supplied in certain sizes in double random (+/- 40’) to meet certain project needs. These screws have a head designed with an internal hexagonal shape, requiring a specialized hexagonal wrench for tightening. Hex socket screws can provide a more compact head design than external hexagon screws, suitable for applications with limited space.
